Sewing Kits
I was putting together 3 gift bags to take with me tomorrow when I go to see my son on a Canadian Forces base. (The reason I'm going is because he bought concert tickets for us as my Christmas gift from him this year... the concert is Monday night; I'm going up to spend the weekend) He's coming home for the holidays, but I wanted to take something to his 2 best friends and I couldn't not include him, too. I wanted to give his 2 friends something before they head out to where they're going for the holidays.
As soldiers, they are responsible for the care and maintenance of their military garments... so, I decided I'd put together sewing kits for them.
I went to the dollar store and got 3 red tins(out of the Christmas section), picked up some white and black thread, and red felt.
From there, I went to Fabricland and bought each of them a spool of invisible thread, thimbles, small scissors, and Sew & Go needles packs.
Does the design look familiar? Yep, its the logo design from Urban Threads. I embroidered the design onto the red felt and then glued each felt panel onto the tops of the tins.
This is only part of what went into the gift bags, but its what took the longest to ponder and put together.
