.rar files are compressed files, like .zip files. If you have a file compression utility (like WinZip or 7Zip PKunzip or something like that) then you can open that program, go to the file, click or right click on it and extract it. I use 7zip, and it does just fine. There are others, I'm sure, but these are fairly common so I linked them here. If you google .rar., you will find quite a few options.

In Embird, under your filter section on the right...3rd drop down box, go all the way down to rar...it's the one right before zip. I think that should work for you. good luck.

I see you have your answer. I have 7zip and free rar extract frog and for rar files I use the free extract frog and it works great. I googled rar and that was one of the options. Just google free programs to open rar files (the free frog one is about the 4th one down).
