Help,I am trying hard to play in my program and my question is*******is there a writting place (hard to explain)i want to write on cards without it being ate up in the paper is there somewhere in 5d for that???thanks carolyn

Carolyn, I think MOPS is the guru for 5D...do you mean you want to make lettering to embroider on your cards? I only have 3D but the principles are much the same. I would chose line script or something not do dense. dont know if this will helps you at all. Hugs Sally

I have not done card but I would suggest Line script it is not printing but is very fine, could work. If you go through them as you have 5d there maybe others that are really fine. Hugs Sally

If you go into the 3d,4d,5d programme when you bring it up over on the bottom right hand side of the page is DESIGN LETTER SHAPE EDIT. If you go into the LETTER tab you will see a box at the top with lots of different fonts in them. Have a look at them all and try them out. Love Chris

I use Embroidery Fonts Plus with a font called Running Stitch to "write" on cards. If you need anything in particular, send me a pm and I'll try to help.

5D offers two: Line Block and Line Script. I don't like the r in L.Script. L.Block looks like printing, but there you'll get a lot of jumps to cut.
QuickFont is no help, it does not offer a line variation, just satin stitch and fill for the smaller sizes. So there's no way to get the font you want.
So that leaves 5D Font Digitising, which I can't quite get the hang of.
I must confess I prefer Embird's Font Engine in this case!
