Here is a photo of Gandalf ,he has the run of the house& yard & doggy door. The Indian myna birds attack him even when he is under the shadecloth amongs the orchids. These birds (known as flying feral rats )should be confined, because they were attacking a blue tongue lizard the other day, making such a noise that I thought the cat was chasing birds. He only chases insects, moths etc & ignores the brushtail possums which live in boxes up the gum trees.

He sure has a loud purr.At the moment he is moulting & I have to chase him around the house with the brush or comb because he won 't stay still & he is purring loudly, so its all a game to him

Gandalf looks like he is willing to share his home with you as long as he can have his naps. He's a beautiful guy! He decided to come give his life to you. Isn't that just so amazing! Now, how did God know we needed house cats?

He looks like he could be a twin to my cat. His is all white just like Gandalf. His name is Tundra, but I normally just call him the Beast. He would be the one chasing after those rotten birds.

Such a beauty when he lies there so relaxed :o)
And than his name: Gandalf (my 2nd favorite from LotR; 1st will always be Aragorn ;-). Maybe you should make a halloween-costume for him to scare these nasty birds? Maybe something like a little scarecrow? *lol*
Greetings, Bettina

Husband named him & he has lived up to his name,One morning he came in grey he found some ashes to roll in somewhere.Just like Gandalf in Lord of the Rings he has been grey & white.
He went beserk when I put on collar on him ,I took the bell off but it didn't help.So I think for a while ,he will only be wearing his clean fur.
We tried those flea-collars but our cats did not liked them. Came home everytime without them ;o)
Wish I could have a "Gandalf the grey" but again after 30 years with cats (always 2 or more) I'm allergic now :o(

Where do you live?? We get those pesky Mynar Birds in SA, and Gum trees but I don't think we have possums!! I hate that we cannot see each others bio anymore... are we going to get that feature back I wonder

The myna birds are terrible in some places just on dark, they all roost in the same tree & the noise is awful. We live in middle of suburbia ,nowhere near any national parks but the possums turn up about 10 or so years ago.We think its because houses & trees were demolished to build town houses, units etc & the wild life had nowhere to go.Even had a rabbit in the yard for a while .
trees have been cleared to build units, town houses etc & the wild life have nowhere to go.Even had a rabbit for awhile

He is such a lovely cat. Hope you can frighten those pesky minas away, because the are real pests and will even attack you, if they feel threatened. Horrible things. Lovely pussy cat really looks relaxed and spoiled. ****

He is a gorgeous cat. It is clear he has 'chosen' you as his family.
I am convinced no human ever owns a cat, cats choose and own their people :)
