My baby is home, YEA! Have lots of meds & istructions, but we can do it!! Sammi is hissing & growling at everyone including me! Will have to work on that. She is confined for her own good in cage for now. she is at 5.1 lbs now, up from 3.1

How wonderful! She is hissing because she doesn't feel well and maybe remembers what happened during her last day in your house but she will get better and gained 2 pounds already is fantastic!! Just give her love and she will forgive! Hugs!

No, she isn't hissing, in fact she is purring, it is her brother, Sammi that is having a hissy fit. He's acting like he has never seen her before......

Well in cat time it is a long time ago so perhaps he has forgotten. Delighted she is home

This is a big improvement and you must be happy not to have to make the trip to the Vets everyday. Can't remember how long she was missing.

when any animal has been away from its normal area it looses that particular scent just like when a bird falls from a nest if a human holds it then the mother bird will reject it as the scent has changed and it is no longer recognised by the mother, try this trick. Take something into graycies cage that the other cat has been sleeping on rub it all over her fur.this will help transfer a scent to her that the other cat recognises, plus stroke the one cat and then without washing your hands stroke the other one. again it is scent transference. do this i reverse to take something gracie has been lieing on and rub it over the other cat and leave it by him. He will start to recognise the scent and so accept it and so in turn accept gracie.. let graycie sit on your lap and then fus the other cat on your lap. this way the other cat will associate the scent with nice things. I hope this will help your two cats to be friends again soon annie in the uk

Thank you, Annie, will try this for sure. Just got done cleaning her up from her going potty in the litterbox, but it tracked all over the cage, poor baby. After handling her this afternoon I went to pet Sammi and her hissed & growled at me and ran, so will have to ease into him.

I mean he hissed & growled at me and ran off, so I will have to ease into it with him. He has always been so sweet!!

He may be hissing because she has a strange smell on her and on you through working with her. He will come round and you will once again have one happy contented family. I am so glad for your sake, God is good all the time, all the time God is good, hugs S*

I am so glad you are having her home. Sammi probably smells Vet. I am sure they will get used to each other again.

Imagine how confused Sammi is! Poor guy. I'm sure once Graycie smells like home again, and loses the vet smell, and life gets back to "normal" he will settle down. Graycie looks wonderful :-) I am just so happy - I think my cheeks are going to burst! Graycie is HOME!

Thank heavens!! You must be just overjoyed!! Love her and love her, she'll get stronger and fatter. She's got to be one gutsy girl to have survived this long, with good care she'll be better in no time, this kitty's no quitter. Don't worry too 'mmuch about Sammie, whenever I take one of my cats to the vet, they all hiss when she comes back. It must be that "vet" smell, but they get over it. So happy I'm actually crying. A happy ending!! But Grayce probably has only 8 lives left now, or maybe ever 7, hee hee hee. This is pretty much a miracle, I'd say. Hugs, Marji

So glad she is back home again. She may not like the cage much but hopefully she won't be in it for long. With a bit of luck she will remember the happy times back at home & not the last one.
