My CHRISTMAS challenge:):)
Does God still talk to us to-day???As most of you know my birthday was Sunday and i was given a few dollars:):)Well i had plans for that as there were a few designs i would like to own BUT GOD HAD OTHER PLANS
I walk my little Peeko (doggie) every night and most night i meet an 8 year old and her Momma out walking and the wee girl Renna (7 years old)talks to Peeko but looks so sad .
I ask at the post office who is she and why the long face???I was told her Daddy left for another family and they are having a rough go .
Well thats all i had to hear and God spoke to my heart and said CAROLYN YOU DON'T REALLY NEED THOSE DESIGNS i want you to make the wee one a Christmas Sock i thought no problem:):)and not only sew a sock but fill it I thought but God i really need those designs***But instead today i bought enough stuff to fill 3 socks lol .So you see God can still speak to our hearts IF there a tender heart .Hope you don't mind but i thought i might get others thinking about what they can give this CHRISTMAS and not just get carolyn

His desire is for us to be like him you did what He would have done & what He WAS doing but through you. I joined cute this evening and as I was looking at designs I was putting them aside thinking of all the hats and scarfes I can make for the children less fortunate. Carolyn, I wish we could get all to think like you. I try my best through out the year to help the less fortunate than me. Renna is going to be so thrilled by this. So will the other 2. Last night I phoned a family to let them know that I have gotten them a turkey and a food hamper for Christmas. The mother cried, and said she did not know what she was going to do to make this Christmas special for her children. I will also put in a gift for each of them. Hugs Yvonne

I truley belive God speaks to us , and I would like to share a story with you that happened to me last week
I catered for a mens dinner at our church on the Monday night , we had seafood and had so much left over I bought some home to cook a nice meal for a friend who had just lost her husband the week before to cancer,as I was preparing the meal of prawn cocktail , curried prawns and fried rice,I thought this is way too much for 2 people, a thought came to my mind , you need to ask Chris , to come for dinner too ,I rang at 1/4 to 5 and said do you have anything for dinner tonight , she said no , so I invited Chris to come along.While the 3 of us were eating Chris told us that she was having Thai ,and God spoke to her and told her to pay for the meal of a young mum and daughter sitting at another table.The mum broke down and cried and told Christ her husband had just left her and the young daughter ,and they didnt know what they were going to do.The young mum said she had no friends ,and was thinking of looking for a church to attend.I dont know her name, but I pray that find a church and friend that will help her through this difficult time ,I so belive this was all in Gods plan, and how much we can be blessedwhen we pass it on

Carolyn, you are so right. I have been blessed with a new granddaughter and you have given me many ideas. I volunteer at a food pantry and I can give more of myself there. It doesn't cost anything and I might make a difference if i took the time to help the needy instead of embroidering all day.

Carolyn I like your challenge, it is better to give then receive. This will be the third year that I have been finding a family that is in need and helping them. This year I bought a christmas tree and that has been delivered. Now I just need to go shopping for the 5 kids this week.

Wow! What a great reaction! I think this: If you have the chance to share God's love - even on Jesus' birthday to make a difference in once life - this is always the priority. You can't know, what Jesus may do in that hearts! And you can't know how long you will have the chance to serve God.

Carolyn, What a beautiful gift and one that will warm your heart long after you've forgotten designs you place in your collection. You help remind me how good it feels to give of ourselves. Our local charity, the Mountain Family Center, makes sure local families have meals for the holidays, and families were "adopted" by local Santas. I called the director and asked what else they needed and she said Toys for the shelves, so parents can give their kids something too. So, now I have a job, gathering toys, cleaning and putting those toys on the shelves so the parents can give to their children too. I was having a hard time getting in to the right spirit, just getting caught up in all the shopping and wrapping and mailing. This project is going to help me much more than the parents! Doesn't it feel good to be put to use by our Lord and Savior?! Hugs, and thanks for sharing your story! Jan Oh, and Merry Christmas!

Yes GOD still talks to his children, The quilting machine that I bought was listed on Craigs List, it was priced at $200. I called the lady it was over a week before I could go look at it, God told me it was mine,but I was to give the lady $300, my husband said if she wanted 300 she would have asked for it. So not to give it to her. Went to pick it up and the lady said God ment for you to have this machine, My husband was with me so I only gave her $200, as soon as I got home I put $100. cash in an envelope put her address on mailed it to her. I still have the letter she wrote me. about how she needed tires for her car and the extra 100 was just what she needed. So I did the right thing. We just have to listen, and know his voice
