All of these appear to be backed with something. Did you embroider the FSL designs on felt and then cut them out? I have a number of these designs but I made mine as FSL.

I stitched them direct on the fabric and ten cut them out :-)).
I Wanted to remain in the red to match the rest of my tree and home-decorations
