BOO HOO! My machine gave up the ghost yesterday - I took it into my dealer this morning as it was playing up - a spring is broken and it has to come up from Sydney. Maarten (from Thorpes) is my sewing machine dealer and he said the part should arrive on Thursday! He said he would try and have it ready by Friday. I told him not to worry too much if it wasn't and I'll get it back on the 9th January when the shop re-opens. So, I'm categorising my Avatars piccies - it's fun!
Merry Christmas to all love and blessings Chris

I feel your pain, even when I'm not in the middle of a project, I feel lost when my machine is in the shop. It's like I lost my right arm.

Thanks Lyn, it's a pity we are not coming over to Adelaide now for our 40th wedding anniversary in January. I would have looked you up. Maybe sometime next year. Love Chris

It's great you were able to finish up your projects before the spring sprung. The Nativity scene card is cute.

Maybe this is your machine's way of saying "take a break". :) I hope that you find plenty to do while your machine is recovering. Enjoy your Christmas while it is gone. I find that it is a bummer that the machine quits on me, but at the same time, it is nice to have that little bit of extra space for a while!

Tomorrow I have an 8.30 hair cut, then Mum at 9.00 then I'll take her home. At 11.30 we are off to a Christmas concert at her local club. So when that finishes I'll come home and do some file sorting! Love Chris

I thnk you will be bored for almost 2 weeks! Good thing Meganne is close enough in case you have an urge to stitch! I keep thinking I need a backup machine, so that I will not be without! Something about keeping hands busy-- LLDS!

Sounds like you finished all your Christmas embroidery! If it just had to happen, at least it was at a "good" time. I hope you won't suffer from withdrawal too badly! :)

Oh my - I would be heartbroken. I had one of mine screeching so bad - I turned it off and called the repairman and he said a week - but told him what was happening and he said I could run it - without damage to the machine - but Rick came in and the two of us - were able to take the outside off and he put a few drops of oil on the thread area - it is still make noises - but at least I don't geel like screaming - like nails on a black board type of noise. Hehehe! What a time for one of my machines to be down. I am glad you will be busy with family and have everything done - you are so organized and it sounds like you will get more orgainzed with your piccies, too.
