I want to pass on a tip that works! I planted seedlings and my fingernails were stained and I could not get them clean and tried white toothpaste that I rubbed on my finers and under the nails and scrubbed them with a brust - bingo all dirt gone and clean fingernails. try useing an old battery toothbrush. they are so good for so many jobs around the house, cleaning between tiles and around taps. small stubborn stains. and for those ornaments that have tiny crevases you can never get into.
tooth paste is an abraisive so will do a good job on that limescale.

When I plant I usually put on gloves but if you scrape your nails across a soft bar of soap it will stay under your nails so the dirt can't get there. Happy Holidays to you.

thanks for the tip. I been sick for a few months now, this morning got up and hal asleep went to brush my teeth and instead of getting the tooth paste, grab the desitin that I keep here for the babies...Not a very good taste....LOL
