Alright cuties..you know those stupid ads on the right of the screen? I ordered hubby a tool for his BD (12-31) from Amazon and now everytime I open community on cute, his tool is right there and I have to close out real quick if he walks in the room..LOL

Do you know you can disable these ads; only thing is you may have to ask your husband how to do it!!!!

You are so right, I would have to ask him to do it....LOL!!

You would not be able to disable the adds. They are there because Miss V put them there in order to try to earn a bit of money when people click on them. Bettina is right about the cookies. Try clearing your cache. Then you might not get the adds for the tool.

It would not be as much fun.... but, maybe if you searched and selected a number of other items from Amazon, the photos would be replaced by the new things. It is a thought.

That's funny, but there's way worse one could be 'sprung' at displaying on a PC, I daresay. Maybe that thought will 'ground' you, LOL. I hope he can manage a good job of 'the surprised look' if he manages to view it before his BD!

This little nettlers are called "cookies" (waht a nice name for such a vexatious thing). My husband always told me to clean my temporary cache where all this information should be stored (that's why you should not use important passwords etc. at a public PC).
I have to admit that I'm are a computer-dummie and have no clue where to find this mysterious place *lol*
When I was at my own DaWanda-Shop it shows me always my own lamps here the site of Cute...

I looked at window blinds last month on-line, and that ad has been following me on Cute ever since......Don't think I'm going to order them at the price they want. Guess I'll make my own, again.

Well if it's cookies that are causing that to happen seems it might be an easy fix. Vicki, I use Ccleaner which is a downloadable free program. You could install that if it's not already on. put it to work and tidy lots of things up and maybe make things run a little faster. It has options of whether you want it to delete your history etc in various programs you use. Be sure to set the prefs you want.

In the window with the advertising in the right top corner is an "i". I have clicked on it and there you come to a page where you can get more information about the products or you can prohibit that they open this window anylonger. I have done that 2nd choice and the window is vanished now ;o)
