We have just had the most wonderful night.

First I got my Christmas cake in the oven, then while it was cooking Ray and I went to our first street Christmas get together. We met lots of our neighbours, had a few drinks and lots of conversations and they're a pretty nice bunch of people.
Then Ray and I went late night shopping to pick up some groceries and make a start on the grandkids' Christmas gifts.
It was lovely going out on such a balmy night, everyone at the shopping centre seemed to be in great spirits and it was a lovely experience.
There was a new shop there filled with nothing but Christmas trees, decorations, lights etc. It was so beautifully set up and the things for sale there were all so gorgeous and good quality, it reminded me of the wonderful Christmas stores you all have there in the States. It was truly lovely and I felt like a little kid, running from one thing to another, trying to take it all in.

I'm going back there tomorrow just to have a better look at everything, especially the most beautiful Nativity scene I have ever seen, I would really like to buy it if it is within our budget.
Just wanted to share my new found happiness with you all.

Today is the 24th December and it is my Tidgy Girl's seventeenth birthday, I am so happy because she has survived to reach it.

Every day I have with her is a gift I cherish because each day could be her last, I think this is how we should be with those we love because the world would be a better place if we could.
