Christmas Hazards!

Well, Meganne had her safety chain in the blender ordeal... You're not going to believe this one!

My son and I got out and about this morning to do some last minute errands... the big thing on the list was to go pick up the fresh free-range turkey for Christmas dinner. So, we roll through McDonald's for a diet coke for him and a large coffee for me. We get up to the window and the girl hands him the coffee first... I grab it the wrong way and dumped my LARGE coffee in his lap!!!! We had to come back to the house... while he was changing clothes, I cleaned out his car. My poor baby... how many different ways could I possibly be horrified that this happened?! While not the best of Christmas memories to have, at least he will having something interesting to tell when he gets back to CFB Kingston.

You all stay safe this holiday season... look both ways before you do anything!

As a general rule, I drink my coffee black... except when I'm ordering from McDonald's or our infamous Tim Horton's up here in Canada... then I have them add "2 milks"... which lowers the temp a little bit. If it had scalded him, he'd still be dancing around here 6 hours later.

Yes, Soozie... a sense of humor is a must have for modern living. Everyone that knows them has told me what a great sense of humor he has... its somewhere between goofy and droll... LOL!

Yes, this is a Christmas I'm likely to never live down. That turkey is going to have to be VERY good on Sunday to smooth this one out.

Oh yeah... that was the first thing that went through my mind... the poor girl at the window handed him a big stack of napkins, but it took 2 towels to soak it up when we finally got back to the house.

Oh there's no doubt about it... LOL! I have a feeling I'm going to get picked on for many Christmases to come for this. He doesn't know that the whole world knows about it, now, though. LOL! I think I'll keep that between us stitchers and the gate pos

I believe you're right about the being overtired. I don't know how I managed it, but he's a good kid with a marvelous sense of humor. He laughed it off.

Honestly, Carolyn, I believe his jeans, his jacket, and his car seat got the worst of it. We live less than a quarter mile from the McD's, and his car was still cold. It could have been a lot worse... I'm just thankful it wasn't.
