Greetings cards. I like making cards, but card itself is a bit limiting. These are stitched on artists canvas (I bought a roll which was cheap!) This behaves like card but stitches like fabric so you can use more elaborate designs. I cut the design out with a fancy edge to stick on the card. Thanks to Katulle for the right hand design. I'm afraid I can't remember who did the other one.

I like handmade paper as well but you can do a much denser design on the canvas.

Wonderful idea! Did you get the "roll" of artist canvas at a Hobby Lobby store, or did you have to get it from an art supply store?

It is quite small - there is only a couple of meters on the roll. It is rolled as it is so stiff.

Very clever of you to think of using artists canvas. I am also curious as to where you purchased the artists canvas. Online, hobby store, craft store, etc. I wasn't aware of it being sold by the roll. But then again, dumb me, back when I was painting I remember hearing people mention making their own frames and covering them. I didn't paint enough to attempt it. This is a very clever idea.

It came from "The Works" which is a publisher's remainders shop here in UK which also sell some art and craft supplies.

Tear-away stabiliser in the hoop and then I just laid a piece of the canvas on top.
