Can somebody help me with the 3 position hoop for the Brother Innov-is machine. Is this what is know as a "megga hoop"?

I have been given one and I'm not sure where to find suitable designs I can use with it.
Thanks.

Maga hoop is usually the term for the largest of the 3-position hoops. I have a 100x170 mm hoop for my Brother 190D which is not mega at all, but needs special (or split) designs and I have a few Brother cards that have just those and I can split others (which I don't do as I have a machine with a much larger embroidery area.
Is there anything in your manual (under optional accessories)? Is the Brother site any help?

my brother came with a large hoop only good for multi hooping - the stitch area of my inovis is limited to 5 x 7 .
the big hoop 5 x 12 can be placed in 3 possitions
(up middle down) to do "spitted" designs which are bigger than 5 x 7 - still have to figure out how but am doing research and will post when i did.
perhaps MOPS big droilly design can be splitt, will ask her.

Mine is also 5 x 7. I'll keep a lookout for your findings and I'll post anything useful I find. *

How stupid of me not to think of that! The web is a wonderful place, everything is available with a little patience. Thanks for reminding me. *

I've bought a Bernina Mega Hoop and have only used it once so far - to put wording down the back of a stole. It is designed to slide into three positions and thereby allowing you to do longer designs. The hoop is 44/150. Not much help is it? I need to go for lessons!
Happy hunting

Mine has the three positions and I would like to do a large design down the back of a denim shirt, just can't find one suitable for the hoop. I'll keep looking. *

You could try You tube and search machine embroidery. The Flying Needle has lessons on splitting designs http://www.flyingneedle.ca/

Sorry, I accidently hit submit. Kathy at the flying needle has lessons and tutorials for free and purchase where you may be able to get some help and info. You will need embroidery software to split designs.
