Why does everyone want my money. There are some great sales on at the moment and its hard trying to be tough and not going mad with designs on offer. There are some lovely designs this week at Emblib, Urban has a sale, I like the look of the ITH bears on Embroidery Outlet and then someone else suggested a site yesterday with more fantastic designs on sale. Help is needed to curb the desire to buy everything and sew some of the designs that are 'waiting'to be used

Isn't embroidery designs addictive - especially when there are sales - I just have to limit myself to what I truly can afford and what I believe I will really use - if not - it is money sitting in someone elses pocket - when I need it so very much in my own - LOL.

if you *really* wanted an answer to that, LOL, possibly because lots of folk are away at the beach or visiting with relatives etc they might need to put up sales to get a reasonable amount of business to keep going and keep staff employed. Yes, many of us here are helping them keep their businesses running :) I've bought from Stitch Delight ($1 design sets!) and may well shop at Urban as well, yet.

A interesting comment. My question had been tongue in cheek.

The sites are probably on vacation with our money that we spent. I have seen the trips that Deb of emblidrary takes with our money. The lady is well traveled!!

Yes there are lots of sales out there at the moment. My drastic solution to this problem was to get about of a very bad flu nearly 3 weeks ago ( still suffering from it).lost any interest in spending money or going out

Way too drastic a way to avoid the sales. Hope you're starting to feel better now. They really do 'hang on' these days. I've had a bug myself over Christmas, so you're not the only somewhat 'anti-social' one!

All you have to do is open your credit card bill and shocker!!!!! I think, how did I buy that much. I will say this. When emblibrary introduces a design pk , put it in your wish list and wait until an offer of 50% off or 60% off then buy and maybe you don't even want it any longer. Kay

Just remember, the designs will not go away, and sales do come and go. You don't have to buy all of the designs :-) (That's what I keep telling myself anyway!)

Maybe we could all try to get some new designs digitized and up on Designs by Cuties to help satisfy that urge to add to our collections. I have something I'm working on...... and it's NOT Christmasy.

Its like going into a store and looking at those lovely designer outfits, bags and shoes and when you look at the prices and the shop assistance comes to help you, you just say, I'M BROWSING and just get out of that place!!! You have this war going on inside you between you head and your heart, the strong one wins. To spend or not to spend your money!!
