Hello Cuties! This month I have managed to sew 7 quilt tops for veterans. The two panel ones are for a US Marine and US Navy veteran. Two are made with Air Force fabrics. The rest are for Army vets. I only had a pattern for two of them. Usually I can figure a picture of a quilt out if it’s not too complicated. These are all at least 60 x 80 inches, sometimes a little more. Three will be ready for pickup Thursday from our member that quilts them at which time I will give her the four I made in the last 2 weeks. I have 5 pillowcases completed to match and will make the other two. I still have two more names on my list I turned in so I’m almost caught up. Hope you like at least one of them. I have made 79 for veterans and none are alike. If I make a design once, I don’t want to make it again. Let me know if you find one you like and have a great day! Toogie

Wow, Toogie, these are all so beautiful. I love the border you used on the 1st (yellow & black with orange corners ). It really stands out. Also love the last (pinwheel) quilt. Is there a name for that pattern? This is a really impressive collection. Well done.

The last quilt is the second one on the top of the book back, called Flair by Donna Robertson ( look at photo below). Both of the quilts you mentioned are made with half square triangles. I don’t see where we can private message anymore and I don’t want to post my email in public. I am sure I don’t have yours either.

they are all beautiful! I am sure the recipients will treasure them! The yellow border is WOW. Is it a barber pole? Hugs!

Yes it’s like the barber’s pole but I wanted to represent the rope around the Marine emblem in the panel. Thanks and good to see you!

Toogie nothing seems to make you slow down. As always your quilts are awesome. I am still amazed. My favorite is the last one. I like the way the HST are arranged which makes for a great design.

Thanks Angie and believe it or not I have slowed down when it comes to anything but sewing.

These are all awesome Toogie and I am in awe of your sewing abilities. I've just been diagnosed with Bursitis in my left shoulder and am on "Rest" from sewing for a few weeks. I feel like my arms have been cut off!!

I love the first one especially with the columns and the last one with the angular star shape etc.

I've only made a couple of quilts over the past couple of years, both Navy and white to match our home decor. The one I made last year was from fabric I purchased in Japan from the famous district outside of Tokyo and they are all indigo fabrics. Love Chris
