first embird update how to - help needed

the more I read the more confused I get,
deinstall or rename program file, save thread charts, save personal settings???

how do you manage a smooth embird update including plugs?

any importaint precausion steps to take for worst case?

do I really need to update - why?

Also nochmal den Text: Ich bin ein Computer-Dummie, fage aber gerne meinen GG, weil der die Updates macht (aber nur wenn es sich nicht vermeiden läßt; ich hasse es, wenn cih mich erst wieder reinfummeln muß).

Habe ich erwähnt, daß ich auch das "Up-Date" hier genau deswegen nicht mag?
Ich will meinen edit-Button wieder!!!
Hate updates and all the uncomfort until you find everything you need :o(

I just DLed the free 30 day trial, and everything I try to do, message says "this is not a registered copy, you can go no further"!!! My interpretation of what the error said. As many times a I read it, I should have it memorized!!! Hahaha! Soooooo, I am off to buy my copy. Then maybe I can get back to you, but I'll bet someone with more sence than me will answer before I have an answer for you!!! Hugs & enjoy, Judy

I did not know there was a new update, but usually there is one to get rids of a few bugs, add something new after requests have been made and so on.
There are a number of things I save when updating: files I made in ED Studio Library being the most important - just copy them to a special file outside Embird - on your C or D drive or on an external hard disk. Plug-ins are automatically saved, but if in doubt copy those to the same file.
