Hi Debra....good to hear from you!! How are you feeling? Graycie was 9 lbs, before the robbery, the 3.1 when she was found, so she's coming back up. We bought pet steps, so she can get back up on the bed now..aren't we funny..LOL!!

Yeah, they are little steps to aid animals that can't jump up onto high places anymore...she climbs them like a champ.

Before I logged on today, I was wondering if I would find a Graycie update. Thanks for keeping us informed and I love the pictures. She looks great and as soon as she grows some fur on those hind legs she will look 100%. How much did she weigh before? I used to have a little calico, Spooky, who was only 6 pounds full grown. People kept mistaking her for a kitten. Just read your answer to Debra - 9 pounds. Guess she's still got a way to go.

The vet tech & I are thinking her hind legs should start filling in soon. Guess her malnutrition has kept it from growing in..that is where she was shaved cuz her pooh was runny and it was easier to keep her clean....

I'm delighted with Gracie's progress. We had an injured cat once, who was nursed back to health with sub-Q IVs (done by me), meds and rest, after a $1500 vet bill. She improved over the next year, but was inadvertantly let outside, and was hit by a car.
So glad Gracie is doing well. Keep her close.

Oh, Jacqueline, am so sorry to hear about your kitty...Graycie doesn't even go by the door....I don't know if she ran out while he was in the house or after he left as he left the doors open when he left. We are lucky she is the only one that left.....

great ! She is looking better. Did her fur get all course and dried out? It took almost a year for for my garage kitty's fur to get glossy and soft. I have had him a couple of years now and he is still wild. i can pat his head and run my hand down his hack , but that is all. Kay

She is so funny, Jan, she comes out to the kitchen to get me, then leads me back to the bed so I can feed her the slushy she eats in bed!! She's got me trained!!

Your story about Graycie touched me deeply and I am so happy to hear of her continuing improvement. I have 4 beautiful fur babies ( 2 dogs and 2 cats). Had 5, but we lost our precious male greyhound to cancer right before Christmas. Graycie is so lucky to have a wonderful mom like you!!!

Cancer is so hideous whether it be animal or human form..so sorry for your loss!! I know how you feel, you love your other furbabies just as much, but they can't fill that void of the one that is gone...only time can heal it...God Bless!
