I couldn't resist one more doll. This makes four this week! This one is jointed and posable and fits in the 5 x 7 hoop. I'm not sure how to do the hair so any suggestions are welcome - somehow woolly plaits or bunches won't quite work.

forgot to add how about curly hair? or a hat so she needs no hair or just a fringe?
by spendlove 08 Jan 2012

You just keep getting better and better. Now to learn how to do machine embroidery fringe hair. The hands and feet are excellent.

Oh my goodness, she is sooooo cute. I made a rag doll one time and actually used curl of my GD hair. It was a piece we had saved from her first haircut. I stitched one cute right in the dead center of te forehead. Where did you locate this pattern? I really like it.

Very cute - I love baby dolls. Now you need to give the jointed bears a try. Babies need toys to play with....you are going to have a house full by the time you get these all done.

Your doll is adorable. And you did a great job with the facial features too!!
Do you plan on putting a hat on your baby? If so, you could attach a little bit of hair to the inside of the hat, and have it hang down, like a curl in the front or back. If no hat, and you wanted hair, then I would suggest putting a little curl of hair just above the forehead, like the cupie dolls had.
