What would be an appropriate gift [embroidered and or patchwork] for my neice? She is engaged to be married but for a second time. Has grown up kids and is 42 years and is a Hairdresser.

If she already has most everything some nice linen guest towels would be good with their surname initial on them.

For anyone the embroidered towel sets are super. She also might like some new kitchen towels with embroidery designs. Appliance covers with embroidery are great too.

I'm sure she will appreciate anything you make for her. Embroidered gifts are always appreciated.

thankyou Marcelle for you ideas and for the link. She [neice] does love hand made things and is a beginner patchwork/quilter.

If she loves her job maybe she will like these designs from Julias Needle :o)
Did she wear a frock or something like that at work taht you can embroider a design and her name on? Or a bag for her stuff?
Greetings, Bettina

I always like the idea of monogramed towels - his/her - initials - pillow cases - dish towels - wall hangings and/or pillows. If you wanted to make her something personal - say for a shower - do something for her shop or work - other wise it should be for the home or the two of them.

Thankyou Shirlene, I was sort of wondering about a Wallhanging, but did not have any good ideas about designs.
