I know what you mean Carolyn, but I guess sometimes people are to busy reading and forget the flowers. I try to give a flower to every comment I read, but I don't always manage, or I run out of time. I do start at the bottom and work up.

Carolyn, I understand what you are saying - I do try with every opertunity - to give a flower to every person that has taken the time to comment or make a effort to assist or support the person asking a question or posting a project. I always start with the person making the post - then I go in order - either the top to the bottom or the bottom to the top - then I make my comment - so when I submit my comment - I can click out and know I did my fair share - I do sometimes wonder why others don't give everyone a flower - but it isn't up to me - to suggest that they did or didn't - I do what I do - for me and for others - I only hope that everyone else will follow suit. I do comment on all postings in my postings to the best of my ability. Needless to say - I have reaped from my effort - over the years.

I try to give flowers to everyone too. I just give them and forget about getting them;>) What is the old adage: "'Tis better to give than to receive" ..but it is nice to receive! Here is one for you!

I don't always read all the post but I give a flower to everyone I read as I think if you comment you deserve a flower. Since I don't know all the ins and outs about how this site works I do know how to give flowers and I give flowers to everyone.

NO I AM NOT ASKING FOR FLOWERS I WANT TO KNOW WHAT IS YOUR HIGHEST NUMBER BESIDE A PROJECT IN FLOWERS YOU GOT?MINE IS 7 ?????

O.K. now I get the question, I went back and checked a
few projects and the highest I got was 11 flowers for my latest wine bag, often counts of 8 or 9.
Is this a better answer LOL, I guess I should read more

carolyn, you mean the number of flowers when you have left a comment for another person's project. I think people do not always give a flower to each person that has commented just to the person who has posted the project. I don't think I have ever had more than 6 or 7. I do try to give to all starting usually at the bottom to the top..Hugs Sally

I think your answer is that many of us don't go back and check on each comment we make. We look at our total when we sign in maybe, and that's about it. Sometimes I'll skip giving flowers too, if the comment has been doubled accidentally for instance.

Sorry I give flowers but never count-I have no idea.

If your question only applies to flowers besides a answer or comment I have left against another cutie's posting - I normally don't go back if I have only left a comment unless it is of interest to see what others had to say and if I go back I do not really take note of the number of flowers. I only notice the growing number when I sign in. Regarding the others response below - I give flowers to all when I open a a posting unless it is very long - sometimes there is like 30 responses and if my internet is slow I only give to the first 10. If I do not open a posting I give a flower as it is an indication to myself that I've seen it already. I also noted that sometimes I have given but the flowers aren't there. :}

Carolyn, not on community, but in projects i have hit 71 flowers and i dont know how many comments on my Leona towel. Does that help :)

Noah...you are right of course...if living in a perfect world, LOL. Sadly I think most people simply just don't take to go down the list and give to each person in the thread. I prefess to being guilty of that from my home computer since I have dial up and it takes forever for them to register...I'd be all day getting some freebies and I simply can't waste that much time...but during the workweek I am happy to be able to give everyone who participates a flower. *'s for all ;} ~Rita

Carolyn, it seems when I post a freebie link or a design, I tend to get a whole cart load of flowers. Project posts, I guess it depends on how appealing it is. LOL. I try to give everyone a flower if I comment or thank someone - but I have no idea, really what my highest number for a post would be. Sorry. And, *'s for all! 8-)

somenights when I try to give flowers, sometimes I have clicked on them at least 3 times and when I would go out of question or project or designs by cuties, it would still not have changed colors. So its not that I haven't tried. LOL

I really don't pay any attention as to the number of flowers received on my comments. I only go back to those postings if I had asked a question about it (to see if it was answered). I do look at the total when logging on. I'm just happy that the garden has slowly grow over the years.

Hi Carolyn, like many others I am vague with my answer. I understand what you are saying but many postings dont show the amount of flowers for postings received. it is interesting for example if there are 10 replies and the first has 8 and in the middle there is someone with 12. Like many I give flowers for all who have replied to the comment

I have given flowers, which was then never revealed, and just seem to disappear. I love giving flowers when I open a question, as well, as I sometimes do not have time, I just give people a flower without opening the mail.****

I was in the projects and was searching: Regularly I got around 40-50flowers for posting a project. Most of the time that are lamps but I just post one when I made something really new (not only another color ;o).
I don't understand why you think your highest number of flowers was only 7. Your cat-potholders from katulle get 47flowers and 20comments...

The only way I know to answer this question is to say that someone has to click on the flower to make it add up another number. Just going to the site and making a comment does not add another number unless someactually clicks on the flower. I try to always give credit where credit is due in every section. I know I have missed a few over the yrs but If someone takes to time to make a comment or goes to projects and just looks and does not make a comment, I find it only polite to give a flower because they are sharing their projects with us. It may not be my favorite and I may not even make a comment but I do think it deserves a flowers to the person that put it there. I can not personally read every comment or I would get nothing else done but I do try and answer the ones I read and have a comment to make! My problem is that I do not have the time to go through every section, everyday and write comments. In case you have not noticed, I tend to get long-winded with my comments. Not enough time in a day with all of our members here at Cute to answer everyone! It takes no time to leave a flower!

I believe my highest number I've ever received is 62. This is on a recent quilt I made for my son and his wife as a Christmas present that I posted in projects.

The flower numbers just vary as not everyone gives flowers to everyone who responds on a post. I give flowers to everyone in the post even if I don't leave a response of my own.
