Carolyn, I think the design is too intricate for paper or card. There are just too many stitches. If you want to put it on a card, why not embroider it onto fabric and then fray the edges before you glue it to the card?

instead of tearaway try using the peel and stick hoop the peel and sick and then peel the paper off and lay your card stock on top of it . see if that help .

Have you tried to use a cut-away stablizer with the paper card? I have found with other designs, that the paper products just don't stand up to the pokes and pulls of the needle. So when I used cut-aaway stablizer, it worked much better. Another idea is to stitch it out on a fabric scrap that is cut to the same size as the card, and if you use the spray adhesive underneath it will stay put and look nice. Good luck!!

There are two factures you have to consider when stitching on card or paper: the stitch length and the density of the design. From what I can see there are a couple of areas that are too dense, specifically the dark are in the rose and some parts of the leaves.
I agree with Sue: stitch it on cotton, silk or satin, cut it to size and place it on the card using a zigzag stitch; using glue and a frame; or wrap it around a smaller piece of card and glue that to your card.

well you had many answers already. I wanted to try this one too, but I think I wait now and first start something else. Thank you for showing this paper hungry rose. Perhaps Basketcase( she designed it) can give some advice.But the rose is so lovely!

Don't know if you could get your hands on the rice paper but it has fibers in it and is real sturdy. Love this design.
