DH and I had planned to go to the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas but I had a root canal done which resulted in an infection. On top of that I got a terrible cold/sinus infection. At the last minute we decided I could make it which was good because I had Celine Dion tickets! I figured I could be miserable at home or in Vegas but if I was there I would have a chance at attending the events.
We left early and saw some beautiful sunrises and desert scenes. I spent most of my time in our room which was a complete 1 bedroom apartment time share with kitchen, laundry, and Jacuzzi.
I got enough medicine in me to see Celine Dion on the first night. She was amazing! Every note was perfect and she has an amazing costume designer. Yes, she sang the Titanic song. I was 8th row from the front!
DH went to the electronics show and saw the new gadgets we are expected to buy this year. One of the highlights was a TV and/or computer screen that is thinner and lighter. It is an OELD - Organic Electroluminescent Display. It will be great for reducing the weight of lap tops.
Feeling sorry for me, DH went to The Sugar Factory and bought me a delicious chocolate mousse cake that I didn’t have to chew. Besides that it was mostly chicken soup for me.
My swelling went down significantly but I developed a huge yellow bruise. I covered it up with a lot of make-up and made it to the VIP party my DH was invited to.
Overall, I’m glad I went. I was able to relax without doing the kids’ laundry and cleaning and I was able to go to both of the events as I had planned. Not only that but I had so much down time that I got a lot of Cutie time in too : )

For somebody in Germany these roadpics are gorgeous because here you never could look so far. Pretty sure that Celine was amazing (I would need some tissues for sure). So you enjoyed your trip and hopefully you will regain your health soon :o)
Greetings, Bettina
I think it's time that your kids stepped up and did their own laundry and started taking care of Mom when she's ill. Once I bleached an item that my daughter didn't want bleached, and ever since she does her own laundry and even taught her younger brother to do his laundry. Wish I'd bleached her clothes a little sooner.
Glad you're rested, and hope you can get well soon.

Jacqueline
