Hi Everyone! Has anyone downloaded any of the free embroidery software available on the net? I am looking to embroider a baby's name on to a baby blanket & want it larger than the normal writing!

Hi stidiford58 and welcome to Cute! I have downloaded only one software and it was functioning for 30 days only. Its name is Embird. I tried this software, I liked it and then bought its basic version which is inexpensive, and lets me edit, merge, change colors and formats, etc. They sell the Studio module for digitizing and other modules too (for cross stitch, fonts etc). I love the basic Embird and have been using it every day for a few years. Hugs, Lidia

Forgot to mention that I got another software when I bought my Husqvarna Viking Topaz 30, a couple of years ago, called 4D Embroidery Extra which is an edit program that I use for a couple of things that the basic Embird doesn't do.

Embird is worth the money just for Iconizer. I can't function without it. My Editor is good, but stand alone, not with Embird. Don't remember how it workd with TT fonts.

Hi,
I takte the free embroidery software from Sierra. Its free and You can do a lot of things with it, but you need permanent Internet. I like the alphabets because you can make them lager and smaller and make ist in forms.
