I went to Joanne's today to buy blank aprons and poly-fil. They wanted $4.99 for a poorly made apron. I started thinking and came up with this. I have lots of sheeting fabric to use. We all have fabric that is laying around taking up space. Cut out 2 aprons. Embroider, place pockets, what ever you want to do. Then place right sides together and pin. Add your tape or whatever you want to use at the top corners and pin between the fabric pieces. Do the same with the ties at the sides. Sew around leaving a hole to turn rightside out and use a decorative stitch to stitch around the edge. You have a reversible apron. It wouldn't take long to make and would be much better made than the blanks. They would use up fabric and be great gifts. What do you think?

first apron in 4H Club then. Those were
good times. My Grandmother would piece quilt tops all year on treadle machine and
come winter ladies from the community would come and quilt. I loved to watch and
sometimes they would let me try my hand.

has used the binder feet for putting on bias tape?
It is on my list to check out for the new year. We used to have a couple of salvage fabric places close by that we could get bias by the roll and a large roll of rick rack for next to nothing. They
closed. I have an old scrubbies smock that snaps that I wear in the kitchen to protect my clothes,well it needs to be replaced badly.Maureen
