I'm feeling a little overwhelmed right now. My parents asked us to move into the family vacation home 17 years ago and take care of the place. They would be with us all summer long and other family members would come and visit. After my mom passed away we were just wondering how long it would take for us to be asked to move. Because of all the drama of the past two years escalating we are not waiting to move before our son graduates from college as was agreed on. We have found a house five miles from town which came available and we are thrilled to be moving. Our drive right now is about twenty miles one way to town and each car in gasoline uses about $150 to $200 each month so will be saving a bunch on gasoline/petro and wear and tear on the cars. Have already packed many boxes and set up a date with the movers. Have decided to stop posting/commenting here with you cuties by this weekend and concentrate on getting ready for the move. Will probably lurk for a moment and give flowers to stay caught up. After getting moved and settled in will be back. I am requesting a weather prayer that any major winter storm/snow will hold off until after we get moved. We moved from Illinois to Indiana in a blizzard with our infant daughter and that was a very unpleasant move. Anita (capoodle)

Just got a load of boxes and end rolls of paper from the local newspaper so I can pack at my leisure now. Like to get everything unpacked within a couple weeks so will be back on then.

Not with you hand injury. We have used these local movers before and they send three people and make quick work of the move.
My DH has arthritic of the spine so we have to have help. Sometimes we have rented a U-Haul and paid younger ones we know but this comes out to be about the same amount and they are professional.

Thank you. Sunny and dry will be good. We will be loading from the walk out basement and the hill besides the house needs to be dry to back down to the door.

Anita, I am sure this will be a good move for you - I will be praying for good weather for you and the movers - get your stuff packed and then unpacked and settled - we will all be here - when you return dear. I am thrilled for you and hope you share some pictures with you get all settled, too. It sure will be nice - not to have to pay for all that gas and to not have to worry about that drive way, too.

Thank you less stree. With the house being set up as a time share we were uncertain as to where to live for 12 weeks each year. Plus it is furnished with all of our belongs with no private place to put items we don't want used.

I just put gas in the car it was $3.95 I think a gallon for the cheapest unleaded.

I hope everything goes well and the moving is over and done and everything put in your new place very soon. Moving is very hard on everyone that has to take part in it! Thank you. This is the longest time we have lived anywhere and 17 years of stuff is a lot to pack. Spent the summer clearing out the basement in anticipation of this issue so I'm that much ahead on the packing.

Thank you. We are still concerned about the weather. 14 days till the move and the Weather Channel only gives a ten day outlook.
Our diveway has a very steep grade and even in our 4-Wheel drives have issues so a moving van on snow/ice will have to be cancelled till it would melt off and I don't that to happen.
