I know that I should be able to make a applique square myself but I’m trying to make a patch can someone help me. I know I’m making this just too hard!!!

You can use the square shape on your machine. Stitch a running stitch of the square on your stabilizer. You then place your material over the area to be stitched. I like to have a piece of material at least 1/2 inch larger than the area. Stitch the running stitch again, remove hoop from machine, trim excess material. Place hoop in machine again and do the square in a satin stitch. you can put any design you want in the middle.
