Will be watchoing for some answers on this one. Thanks for asking, I have been wondering about the snap hoops also.

I have the Diamond, and bought the snap hoop specifically to do designs on quilts, towels, things that are difficult to hoop. I was very disappointed. I called the service line and they said it was not really meant for thicker hoopings. It works well for regular embridery (as far as holding tight, ease of hooping) but I found it very easy to "shift" because nothing holds it down except the magnets, and on slick cottons I couldn't even get it to slide into the connector without having to readjust it. I don't use it, and it was pricey. If your issue is the safety of the magnets, that isn't a problem. I asked many sources and was reassured that magnets were an issue early on with computerized machines, not so much now. I keep a magnetized pin holder sitting on the machine (have for 6 years) and it isn't a problem. Linda
