Follow up on my nephew's cancer, after asking for design a few months ago.

I posted here about my nephew, Mason, several months ago. I posted here because I was looking for a design of a plane flying away for a quilt his mother was working on, which was initially for him but instead will be a memorial quilt.

Meganne was so nice (you guys are awesome!) and digitized a design for us. We hoped he would never need it, but ..... well, things happen for reasons.

Mason has been in and out of the hospital for several weeks, with hospice caring for him when he is home with his mom and dad. He is not well, at all. His physicians had suggested he get his affairs in order a few months ago, and he has taken steps to do just that.

This email is not to pat me on my head and say 'poor you'. This email is for 2 reasons. #1 - to follow up. I had promised I would keep you posted and realized this evening that I had not done so. (sometimes in the midst of all this, we forget to use the computer to communicate to those far away who care. I'm sorry).

#2? This is a really hard time for Mason, his mom and dad, my husband and their parents (Mason's grandparents). He's an awesome young man (and I'm not just saying that because he's family - honest) and he will be sorely missed. My family, Mason, his mom and dad, everyone could use a little prayer or two. Maybe to ease their minds and give them a little peace while this is happening. While miracles do happen, every day (and we would gladly accept one!), we are not optimistic that any miracles we might see will include a cure or reprieve. The clock is ticking. We know.

Thank you all, very much, for how you've welcomed me. You've brought tears to my husband's eyes and made his sister cry when he told her the words you have offered (I sent him the link to his computer, so he could read for himself).

We could use any help, in prayers and peace. Thank you, for giving so freely! Thank you, also, for allowing me to post something like this on an embroidery site!
