I've made a quilt for the Uganda Project - and as I've got Tubby's alphabet that I did years ago - I thought I'd send that one too. I will have to join it all up, but I'm showing you the squares before I'm finished. I sewed the brightly coloured squares all on my OVERLOCKER, still waiting on my Husqvarna to come back home! Love and blessings Chris

What size are the squares...looks great.

I made the squares 8 inch cut, so by the time you have a seam it becomes a little less. I used the overlocker so it's a scant 1/4inch. The width is 44 & 1/4 wide (6 blocks) by 59 1/4 long (8 blocks). I'll add a 2 inch border. Love Chris

This is pretty also. I want to make a king size quilt for bed out of squares, but not sure how and where to start.

Well a King Size bed is about 72x80 (183cm x 204cm). I've made these blocks 8 inch cut. So if you made 9 across x 8" it would equal 72 - minus the seam allowance. I always make my quilts longer than wider, so I'd make the length 11 blocks long. Give it a try they are easy. Love Chris
e it a try they are easy. Then I'd put a couple of borders on them. It doesn't matter how much length or width you have as it's always good to have it overhanging the bed. Love Chris

I hope so Soozie. I chose fabrics that co-ordinated with each other. ie. navy blue with the star fabric, the orangey fabric with butterflies matched the orangey plain fabric etc. etc. love Chris

Well, it's getting that I've got nothing to do and it's killing me not being able to start some of my projects. I need my embroidery/straight sewing machine back. I hope to hear this week how it's going. Love Chris

Chris!!! This is just beautiful! It reminds me of Joseph's Coat of Many Colors. It's a quilt of many colors. Some little person is going to be soooo thrilled with this! I know I am! Thank You, for all the love you stitched in this :-) I am genuinely touched... Jan

Thanks Sally - I wanted them to be bright, but servicable as well. I noticed Jan's request for the colours to be something that won't show the dirt much - they won't be washed very often. Love Chris

Chris, this is gorgeous!! The blocks are so symetrical and the colors are fabulous!!

Thanks Vicki - I put them in pairs - each pair has a co-ordinating fabric. e.g. navy stars with beige and then the beige fabric next to it. Love Chris

I am sure these will be very much appreciated! I am always in awe at the amout of perfect projects that you manage to do for so many people. The world would be a much better place if there were alot of people like you that give from the heart. I know alot can not afford to do such grand projects but we all need to think of others also! You have such a large family and that should take all of your time but you always find the time to do for others also! May God Bless you and your kind heart! It it you and people like you that really make a difference in what goes on around you! Hugs and many blessings, Linda

Oh! Linda, I'm blushing! I am very fortunate in that I have an abundance of fabric and I know I'd never use it all for our family. So I'm happy to make and give out some to others. Love Chris
