Coaster/rug mug
After several attempts I finally came up with a coaster that I liked. The outline is from a towel topper and I used the poppy ripple design. The colors don't show very well, the background is black, flower poppy red and leaves are two shades of green with one of them repeating in the outline. I like this so much that I plan to make a set using the other flowers from the series.

It was seeing yours that got me going but other than the flowers they are not at all alike. Each beautiful in it's own way. I wish my camera captured the color better.

Excellent idea to use towel topper shape for a coaster/rug mug. Where did the original towel topper shape come from please? Are you making a set with the other ripple flowers on?

The original towel topper came from Embroidery Library. I plan on making a set. Since I did this one I have also made the Daisy and the Iris. Will work on the tulip and crocus next. When I get more done I will post again. I hope I can get a better picture that shows the true colors.

Thank you to all for the kind comments. I am working on a set and I will post them whem I get a few more done. And it sounds like there are more designs coming so I will be busy for awhile.
