UPDATE ON MY HUSQVARNA DESIGNER 1 - rang Maarten today and checked to see how my machine is going. The lady in the shop answered and she had to check with him - I heard her ask him and he said "Oh! maybe tomorrow". They once again reitereated they would ring - they hadn't so far!!!!!

Now, as Thursday is a Public Holiday here (Australia Day) and they have decided to shut Friday and Saturday - that makes it another week to wait if they don't get it fixed by tomorrow. I just have to be patient and I'll now have to take the Old Husqvarna 2000SL in as I can't get it to sew forwards! Life is fun and I can see the funny side of things, so I'm O.K. with it all!!!!

At least I'm making the quilts for Uganda Orphans on my Overlocker (which is actually working out much stronger!!!!)

Have Ophelie tomorrow, so may have a little trip into town if it's fixed, wish me luck. Much love and blessings to you all Chris

Fingers crossed that you will finally get your machine back. It's been 4-5 weeks now maybe - anyway too long. Have a wonderful day with little Ophelie. She should keep your mind off the machine some what.

Thanks Anita, I'm getting a bit frustrated but I suppose it's better to make sure it's really fixed properly. Love Chris (and you're right Ophelie always keeps me occupied with her antics)

Chris I hope they have fixed it and you are able to let your machine running. Have a nice day with your little sweet girl (think in Australia it's time for ice-cream ;o).

Yes, it's been a bit warm, but we've had light drizzle on and off today. Poor old Adelaide has had it extremely hot - I feel for our Australian Cricket Team playing the Indians. Love Chris

How frustrating for you, Chris. Doesn't sound like they're in much of a hurry at all! Fingers crossed for tomorrow, but I'm not sure I hold much hope for you.

Chris, Come down here and you can use mine. Going to be cooler tomorrow -- only 35 instead of the 37 of the past few days.

Thanks Lyn, I watch the weather map every night and seeing as I'm from Adelaide I'm always interested. Can't believe our cricketers are playing in that heat!!!! Love Chris

Well if you don't get it back tomorrow, you are welcome to come and use mine on Thursday-Friday as long as you're ok downstairs without me 'cause I'm just too sick to care about anything right now, so unless I make a radical improvement, I'll probably be in bed.

Thanks Meg, I knew I could count on you. We are staying home on Australia day - watching the cricket and having a quiet one! Friday I am babysitting Cooper.

Chris sorry to hear it has been so long getting your machine fixed. You are more than welcomed to come and use my machines all day since I have to go to school. O, but they would mean you would have to come to MN USA and I suppose that would be a little to far for a day trip.HA HA HA! We also are much cooler 15 degrees F. Just a little chilly.Love and hugs.Cindy B

Oh, my, I would be frustrated, too. I guess I am spoiled. My Babylock dealer is about 1 1/2 hr away in the next state. I call and make an appointment, then go shopping and they call me when it's done. It's the owner of the store, and he is super. When the floppy drive in my Ellageo went bad, he changed it right in front of me, and then cleaned her up as she was all opened up anyway. I make sure to buy something extra when I go in.

That's what I usually do too Jo! But the part needed has to come up from Sydney (which is 2 hours away). As Maarten has to fix all the Husqvarna and Berninas he is a busy man! I'm hoping it will be fixed today. Love Chris

If your dealer was over here, I would say what shoddy workmanship and dealership for being so irresponsible about a client. I am so spoiled with my Bernina because they are absolutely helpful and caring in all manner. Those people don't seem to care about you, their customer, and, if it not fixed tomorrow, I would give them a piece of my mind, if I were you. (which you aren't, because you seem to be too nice about it.)But hope does not despair and I hope that you get your machine fixed tomorrow. Good Luck and have a lovely day.***

How beautifully said Susie! I tend to be a pacifier, you're right. I know it will get done, I just have to be patient as parts have to come up from Sydney (2 hours away). Then he has to fix it. Love Chris

Our satisfaction with our machines always comes down to the dealer, doesn't it? No matter how wonderful the machine is, when you need service, you NEED SERVICE!!!(I intended that to be underlined and shouted!). I usually try the honey is sweeter than vinegar attitude and they normally try hard to get my machine done quickly.Good luck.

When I take my machine in. I let Mike know I have a deadline. He usually gives me a loaner machine. If he doesn't have one he always has my machine back so I can meet my deadline.

Now, that's a good customer relationship. I don't know why Maarten doesn't do that! I've bought so much stuff from this dealer. I'm going to mention this to him. Love chris

There should be such a thing as a "loaner" for people who cannot wait weeks for a fix, just like car dealerships - as long as you purchased it from them, make sense? Betty

GRRRRRRRRR - You are much toooo nice, Chris! How about you go in there, right now, and growl at them! Show your teeth. Stamp your feet and throw yourself on the floor!! Maybe that will get their attention. You are a customer who keeps their business ticking, from going under water! Don't they realize this. You are not just paying them a favor, you are their life, their blood line. There are times to be nice, and there are times to fight! Put on your boxing gloves, Chris and growl! grrrrrrrrrrr (one of my 4th graders told me I was the only teachers she ever knew who growled) Hugs, Jan
