Book covers
Finished 3 UFOs today, just had to sew the embroidered pieces into book covers.
#1 is machine appliqued;
#2 I digitised the shape and let the embroidery machine do the work;
#3 I attached parts of a deconstructed silk flower and attached that on the linen with free hand embroidery.

Love the designs and it is a good feeling to be able to make use of the ufo's.

Well done. You are well on your way to finishing all of your UFO's this year. I'm still waiting for my machine to come back. It's been over 6 weeks waiting for a part. GRRR

Well, these were rather recent UFOs, embroidered and cut to size. You should see my stash of older ones...
Hope you get your mavhine repaired soon.

Love the idea of deconstructing a silk flower - that has been on my to do list for a while. The results are all beautiful.

Great minds think alike.. Next one I'm going to scan the pieces and digitise the embroidery. Although I like the one-off of free hand embroidery.
I found the appliqued one a bit Mackintosh like, something I only noticed afterwards.
