As far as I know as many as you can get in your largest hoop. I've never had a problem with it refusing as long as I have the proper hoop. Hope that helps you some.

I have a 1500D and the number of stitches determines which hoop you use. If you want the design smaller then resize it before you put the hoop in. Apart from that I cannot help.

Only once have I had this problem (too many stitches). Opened the design in PE Design clicked Options and in Design page properties changed to a larger hoop. I have a Brother Innovis 1500D. Marg

What I have found out is that the max amount of stiches = 150,000. But what about the colors/Thread changes ?
You see I'm still struggle-ing with the Owl Design.
# of colors ? I don't think so. 'Cos lately I have sewed a design the the same amount : 47
