I have to make my 3yo GD a quilt for her birthday in March.I made the other Grands one so it is her turn. Here's the thing I know colours, size (single bed) & what Em likes (will be shoes)but I'm stuck, really stuck on the layout. I have a plain applique shoe( like Cinderella's)5x7 design that I will use. Main colours will be pink, yellow & green. Also haven't been able to find a rw plain straight stitch shoe design that I want to use as quilting after the quilt finished. All the designs I have/or find contain too much detail for this purpose sooooo some inspiration & ideas for this quilt would be very gratefully received. I'm not normally stuck without creativity but it must be the wet weather we are having at the moment. Hugs & Sparkles minicow

Try this link, it was suggested earlier this week for quilting designs. I Googled "shoe quilt patterns," you could probably find others too. Good luck!

I found four at the link below.
and I know ATM has RW shoes, because I have them but can't remember what ATM stands for.
But kick me if I'm wrong, wasn't there a whole lot of linework shoes here at Cute, under redwork?

I was thinking that maybe you could do something with all the places shoes go, along the sidewalk,paths, to school,church, friends etc,maybe applique a meandering path or what different shoes do, dress up, running, swim shoes, flip flops for the beach, ballet or tap dancing, etc.
