Here is my result from Meganne's doily idea,

(using bits and pieces of leftover threads)
I decided to place my threads between two sheets of organza hoping for a little sheen effect (kinda looks like mylar) and also it would allow for a fringed effect on the contour. Just picked any colors and I like the finished result, Meganne of course did a wonderful job of digitizing this and it stitched out beautifully,
THANK YOU MEGANNE, hope my result is satisfactory for you,
hugs
Michelle

Hey Lidia, I just noticed your 10000 flowers so here is another,
Didn't this turn out pretty, I have been saving my thread for a year to make a scarf but I am glad that I tried this little project. It stitched out beautifully, love it,

It is beautiful! So what does your bucket look like now, so I can gauge how much thread you used for this piece. It looks like it is .25 thick. Gorgeous, Is it a cheat to cut up a spool or two of thread?

Still have lots, see pics in community, in my first course after I bought my machine they showed us what you could do with bits and pieces as Megannes calls them, and no I don't think using an old spool or odd color a "cheat"

Naughty girl, slap on the wrist, you're supposed to send the results back to the digitiser first, Guess I can't blame you for getting excited over my little folly, er, I mean doily. LOL!!!

But now you see, everyone else has to wait until I've had some sleep as it is nearly 4 AM and I must get to bed. Sorry folks, Michelle let the cat out of the bag a bit too soon.

I'm glad you all like it, it has so many possibilities. Good night for now. hugs n roses, Meganne

Great idea - I used threads, especially metallic, for my FSL angels & Christmas tree ornaments. Also used some for filling softie toys. But I never thought of using them in a doily.
