While here on Cute I have just had a call to tell me that a friend of mine has died. I just cannot believe it. She had a quadruple bypass some months ago and was recovering well. Apparently she got a flu/ cold bug a few days ago and now she is not here any more. She was such a wonderful person.

Yes, but at least I will be home on Sunday and able to go to the funeral next week.
Glad you can go to the funeral, I beleive they help you to say goodbye. And you'll share many memories with her loved ones.

sorry to hear about your friend. I lost one of my very good sewing freiends over 2 years ago, and I still pick up the phone from time to time to call her. She died from heart disease, and she had had bypass too.

It is never easy to loose a loved one - of course she was a wonderful person - you wouldn't have loved her - if she wasn't - recovery is so difficult and it is usually the little bug that will take someone quickly, too. I will be praying for you Sarah and her family to accept God's will.
