Question of the day? How many feet do you have for your machines? Do you use them all, what is your favorite & what is the least favorite & why?

I have about 6 for my sewing machine. My very favourite is the automatic button hole foot. I really do not know what I would do without it. My least favourite is the blind hemmer foot. I have never fathomed how to use it properly. I will be interested to see the answers here. Hope you are feeling better. Sarah.

I get feet for gifts & I still have some in the packages, hahhaha Does this count as my least favorite if I never use them?

The secret to the blind hem is that you are working inside the hem. It is easy trust me! Just follow the manual.

I have quite a collection and I use them all occasionally.
The one I use the least is a foot to stitch elastic - which does not mean I don't like it, I just don't need it that often.
My favorites are the Edge stitching foot and the Edge Joining foot - I use them for top stitching very close to the edge(the edge joining one) and a bit from the edge the other one. I also love to use the Edge stitching foot for patchwork as it gives a perfect 1/4"seam.

I have 12 probably the one I am using the most right now is the 1/4" with the guide as I am working on a quilt. Otherwise I pretty much stick to the J and my embroidery foot...I have a Brother Inovis 2800D at home, right now I am using my old 8500 at my sisters. Don't particularly like working with a zipper foot especially the newer type, liked the old one better as it seemed to sit on the material more firmly.

15 different feet. The one that gets the most use is the embroidery foot and a 1/4" one for quilting piecing. The least used ones are the buttonhole foot and zipper foot. I haven't sewn clothing in years! That is really a change in my aging process since when I first got married I made all of my clothing and made sports coats for my husband. Fabric is so expensive now that you can buy clothing much more economically.

Gosh I dunno how many feet are in the bag I got with my Janome (sewing only) but the one I use the most didn't come with it, and is on my machine about 98% of the time: walking foot. The other 2% of the time would be my rolled hem foot and the general purpose one.

I don't ever change the foot on my embroidery & sewing machine (a Brother) it's always got the embroidery foot on it. :) xXx

Too many to count and most of them I don't even know what they should be used for. A really big box of them came with my new Quattro 2. I already had a box full for the ULT 2001 plus a couple of walking feet that I bought for my old Singer and the ULT. I doubt I will live long enough to find a way to use all of them.

It would be nice, though, to have time to try them all for their intended purpose. If my life ever calms down I really should take one of those heirloom sewing classes. At my age I would probably be quite out of place. I never had any little girls to sew for so heirloom sewing was never a priority for me. I think I would enjoy it now though just to learn the techniques.

I have 3 little grandsons now and my son would not be pleased to see them in anything in the heirloom style.

Oh well, I can wish anyway.
