I would say go with whatever you think is fair for your area. Some say a 1.00 per thousand stitches, well if that was the case I would be out of business. I would never pay that much for some items. I have a minimum per hooping for 10,000 stitches or less, and if it's more stitches, then you have to charge more. If its the same design, stitched on several items, adjust it for that, if each one is a different name or design, then it goes back to the Min. per hooping.

For just a name in all the same color I charge $5...which is a LOT less than the pro monograming charge. I probably undercharge, but if it's in a spot hard to hoop, I would up the price some. I also chg $5 for just initials, so you usually make up the difference.

small hoop 20, med hoop 30, lg hoop 40.. etc... always ask them to check around first,,,, they will be back! good luck
