Waiting for a phone call from Shirlene telling me she arrived at her Aunt. Heard about 45 min ago,she was a few miles away on icy roads. We got to see each other for a meal and conversation. Done some good old horse trading. Hope good weather for drive tomorrow

Oh gosh me too, she sounded stress and I know she had the longest drive today than she has for years. I hope she forgot and will call in the morning.

Was unaware she was traveling. Icy roads do make for a stressful trip. Is she traveling alone or did Rick go with her? It was good you two were able to meet up and give her a break from driving for awhile.

I am worried about her. I have not heard from her since last night before she arrived at her Aunt's. No answer on her cell.

Thank goodness she did not see the carnage on I-80 that we saw on I-25 going home. Thanks for worrying with me.

I am so sorry - if I worried you - but the cell phone didn't work - even though it was just miles and a few minutes from where/when we last talked. I believe your drive must have been worse than ours - I never dreamed you would be so worried. We didn't have cell phones - the rest of the way home, either - so it must just be the area. Our drive home today was great - we didn't stop - until we got of the Interstate - which is about 4 blocks from our house - at that time - we did have a warning signal come on the dashboard - it tried to turn off our power - I actually thought I had ran out of gas - Rick thought I turned off the ignition - we called the dealership service manager and he said that we would be OK to drive the car the couple blocks to our place or the dealership - however they would not have anyone to work on the car until Monday at 8 AM - so we drove home - we didn't have anyone we could call - to drive us home from the dealership or help us with the things in the car, if we could have found anyone. So we are stuck home - until Monday morning and we will be fine - we might have to order in our food - as we really had cleaned out the fridge in preparation of the trip - just in cause we spent more time with my 91 year old aunt.
It was so much fun - meeting with Christine and her hubby - it was fun doing our 'horse-trading' as you call it - the time we spent talking, laughing and eating was so much fun. We will have to do it for a longer period of time and not during a time - that either of us - would have to travel in bad weather - I am so happy you made it home OK - after hearing of what you saw on the way home - no wonder you were worried - we were safe and snug as a bug.
Here is a picture of the two of us - I didn't see that you mentioned what happened and I we knew each other - we had spoken on the phone - I knew your voice - so when we saw your hubby out front - Rick and I came into Hobby Lobby - were the two of you were - which you had told me on the phone just about 20 minutes before - I knew your voice - so I heard you and moved around behind you and placed a call on the cell to you - you asked where I was and I said 'Right behind you!' You turned around and ran over and gave me a warm hug and welcome - it was so sweet and wonderful to finally meet you and I was so thrilled to walk around and pick out fabric and then go to dinner and swap stories and look at 'Pretty' things and do our 'horse-trading'. Perhaps the next visit can be longer and we can have some time to work on a project together.

Great, both of you look so happy.
This is the only pic you may ever see of me so ... I have a face you grow to love and then I'm un your head forever! HaHaHa (evil laugh)
Glad you got home safely and had such a good time. This is a great picture, and both look happy to be with each other.
Shirlene I'm so glad you had such a wonderful trip. Sorry for the car breakdown but you made it safely and that's what matters. Certainly would like to shop at her place! Hope you bought a bunch of good stuff.

Shirlene, so glad you arrived home safely! We were a bit worried about you! So nice you had some horse trading. I like the pic. Looks like you gals had a lot of fun!I'm envious! At least your car broke down close to home and not in the middle of your trip.
I know I haven't been on in awhile but things are settling down now so you'll see me on cuties more often. Again, glad you got home safely.

How nice you could meet AND you got home safely. I hope one day I can also meet a cutie and we can talk whole time about sewing and fabrics...
