In my opinion, there is not another animal alive that compare with a Pekingese! Don't take that wrong because I did canine rescue for many yrs and there have been some wonderful pets I acquired that way but I really prefere a Pekingese. Sweet, sassy, usually extremely smart and always loving. Most have very quirky personalities and get along with everyone that they know loves them!!! Looking at yours, I can tell who owns the house! Males are usually more sensitive than the females and are very protective of their Human Mommies! In my case, the males have been the best behaved and the most serious. I had one for 16 yrs and he never had an idea that he was not human! He made ever step I made and I never had to put a leash on him no matter where we went! He loved the Tn mountains as much as I do. His whole personality would change when we started getting the camper ready to go. It was a huge adventure 3 weeks out of every yr and even the short trips we made up there and back in the Surburban. We have been up there with as many as 6 Pekingese at one time. The one I have now can not even ride around the block! We have found nothing that will keep her from getting car-sick.
