It has been a sad weekend. Found out Saturday that my cousin (from my mom's side)
lost his 19 year old son in a car accident and that he was with his girlfriend and she was also killed. As hard as it is to believe, his girlfriend is the daughter of my other cousin (from my father side). She was 18 or 19 years old as well.
I haven't been able to think of anything else all weekend, I cannot imagine the pain and sorrow they are going through. My prayers go out to them so they can find their way through this tragic event. So if you have children (especially young adults who are going out into the world on their own) give them a big embrace and tell them you love them. Life is hard to explain sometimes.
Thanks for listening and a few prayers for them would be appreciated,

It is difficult because I live 1000 kilometers away and in times like these distance is terrible,

I lost my brother 27 years ago and he was 19 years old also, I remember the toll it took on all of us but I think my mother never recovered from it, he was the baby of the family, terrible time for them

We take life for granted and when something tragic like this happens, it makes us take time to look at the big picture and appreciate those dear to us,

When my mom passed away in August, my cousin (father of the young man) could not bring himself to see her at the funeral home even though he was very close to her. I cannot imagine how he will deal with this,
Yes give him and extra hug and tell him how much you appreciate and care for him, in the hustle and bustle of everyday living, we forget to do that sometimes,
