Dear God in heaven I thank you for giving me yet another chance at life. I thank my wonderful, beautiful Cute Sisters for all their prayers, support and well wishes. I thank the universe and all the powers that be, whom so ever is responsible for this blessing.
And I guess I should thank all my departed loved ones who must have been hounding The Big Man and telling him he really doesn't need me up there, disturbing their peace, just yet.
Valentine's Day 2012 is my day of new beginnings and I promise to try harder to determine the reason for my being so blessed and to try to live up to His expectations.
And a big thanks to Chris for leaving it to me to share my wonderful news. :-) I could've sworn you would have already shouted it round the world. Gee that must have taken some restraint. hahahahahahaha!

Good to hear of your blessings. I too have blessings. Although my biopsy showed malignant tissue, upon surgery, it was smaller than expected and had not moved to the lymph area. I won't know if I need further treatment until the appt on the 21st.

Thank GOD! This is the best news I have heard lately! You and Ray get a chance to "start over" with just the two of you and to also have peace of mind about the wonderful news. Lets just pray that his Mom will settle in nicely in her new home and be happy also. I was in a nursing home for 8 months when I was 57. After my surgery, I was really messed up and was not healing like I should have been. I had already been in the hospital for a month when I was sent to the nursing home. Yes, I was very sick, could not get out of bed for anything except to potty(with help)and it was a long haul but when the time came to finally go home, I was terrified to go home alone. I could barely stand and could not walk without some help. I went home with my best friend's help, called my son (4 hrs away) and begged him to please bring my Bebe(Pekingese) home that day.

It took him a couple of days to get her back to me and that was when I knew I was going to be okay. I called my regular Dr. and told him I was on my way to see him and I demanded that he take me off of all the &*^% medicine that they had me on in the home and give me only what I was taking before the surgery and stay in the home. He argued but I would not take no for an answer. It took a few days and I could finally walk, talk and comprehend all at the same time.
and put me back on my regular meds! He argued but gave in and in a few days I could think, walk, talk all at the same time!! It was hard because I was in so much pain but that was better than being lost in space!! My best friend was only about 10 minutes from me and that was a blessing! She was there everyday and making me get out and take her places.
Shelia was wonderful and NEVER let me stay dormant for a minute. I took her more places than we had ever gone before but she was trying to help me get my strength back! The nursing home was NOT a bad place! I did miss my friends but there was never a dull moment! Hope your MIL will adapt as well!!! Hugs, Linda
