It's been a while, but somewhere I seen some designs that were made from some of the old hand embroidery designs. I think they were called Aunt Martha's. The ones I recall were done like redwork, but they used several colors in each design as we used to do years ago. Does anyone recall seeing these?

Thanks
Mary Ann

Anita Goodesign--Prayer Garden is also found on EBAY for a lot less than stores.
And the good thing is she goes over the design 2-3 times so it really stands out.

Thank You, I will check them out

From some of the same sources, and a free one to try in most sets. These are all the types I did on towels growing up! LOL

Forgot to add these are for hand embroidery.

If using your machine just go slow, it's a tad longer but the designs are not hard to sew out.Costs less.
by mnladyus 17 Feb 2012
Thank You, I'm looking for machine embroidery designs like the Aunt Martha's one's. I don't have time to do hand embroidery anymore.

They are usually called VINTAGE designs and one of my favourite places to buy them from is Sew Weird Designs and Watts Embroidery. They are often on special too.
I am sure you will find something you like at either of these great sites/

Chikan embroidery is not a simple art. It requires great deal of labor, concentration and artistic skills to prepare a single chikan embroidered garment. if you are more know about so just visit on.

I know this is an old post, but somebody brought it up again. Just for the heck of it, I checked out the links Meganne gave for Vintage, because I love it. Watts Embroidery, link in Meg's post, is having a sale until August 7, 2012, buy one get 2 free. She has lots of Vintage, and she's the one who has all the Stella & Gus, I had forgotten who that was. If I'm looking right, her sets are about $2.50, and then you get 2 more free. Sigh. Hugs, Marji
