I am a quilter: sew I think that I would be able to share some of my knowledge in this dept combining embroidery, after my heart stopped racing from the excitment of it all! as for sleep well there just isn't time for that (for me anyway) I mean it's only for the weekend!

MAYBE WE COULD DO IT ON A CRUISE SHIP! FOR A WEEK!SIGH..............

I think it's a great idea...but where! We are literally all over the world! But we can dream, can't we? Maybe sometime small groups could actually get together. I had 2 friends spend 4 days with me while hubby was on a trip & we sewed & sewed! Had a blast! In fact, doing it again this yr! Small groups could have each gal bring a project to show/teach.

This would be in a dream world only. It cost me $100.in gas money each time I go to see my little sweet Mom and I won't have her much longer. Kay

I would love to join you, however it is hard to travel these days. I would however love to have a online sewday even if it is just a post! I will be having an open house (daughter's stduio) so to speak, so if folks can get to denver, I have access to some space! We could even do a swap - how many have webcams?

I have a webcam and I am on windows live messenger.

Not sure where Diana is, but you are in Canada - are you not? Where would these be at? If I don't have to think about the cost of it - YES.

The way I understand your question is that hypothetically, if there was a seminar for a weekend at a fancy hotel and not have to think about how to afford it would I go? Yes. And to the why - to meet others with the same love of sewing/embroidery. Others would have to bring their skills to teach me I'm sure.

Since this questions is hypothetical, then absolutely, it would be fantastic!! I think it would be great to be amongst those we chat with and learn new and wonderful things in the process!!

WOW! Would I ever! (Hypothetically)
I would teach everyone computer shortcuts to help make their lives easier by mastering a few very basic tricks.
Then if we had time to spare, I would share my pattern drafting skills, to create your own projects and not have to go looking for patterns.
Then for those who wanted to learn how to knit or crochet or macrame, we could venture an hour or so one each topic.
Then maybe some fabric painting........

Traveled to decorative sewing seminars for nearly 30 years, loved them all. Would do it again if at all financially feasible. Camaraderie and knowledge the best ever possible!! the guy saying "build it and they will come" should be considered our motto.

And if someone wanted to learn, I would be happy to teach them how to do beadwork on the sewing machine.
beadwork on a sewing machine, that sounds good. but I am in UK. and I will not be coming. boo hoo.Hugs Pam.
Now that definitely sounds interesting and FUN!!!! Count me in!!

You know there is nothing to stop us organising regional seminar/workshops, it would be great to spend time with like minded people and exchange ideas and learn new techniques, and if it was planned well in advance it would give more people the chance to save or afford taking part If it was planned as part of a holiday then our partners could come too. If it was somewhere central that may be more accesible, that may help to. Hey Meganne maybe we should try and organise something for the Aussie cuties, I'd be happy to help, Ruth

KUDOS!!! Regionals would be great as let's face it,most of us can't afford to travel very far lately with the economy what it is.Would love to be able to travel again;we used to travel alot but just can't seem to afford it anymore. By the time we pay all our land and school taxes and every day living expenses there is nothing left!I live in upstate New York so a regional in the New England area would work for me. I have upteen years experience in making clothing and have many tricks of the trade i am willing to share.
I could share shortcuts on sewing clothing and handbags{embellished of course!!!}A regional in the New England area would be wonderful!!

My hypothetical bags are packed and waiting at the door( like a pregnant mom 1 week from due date). I will be there and to share, I have many years of experience using crafts to make ends meet, with many little tricks up my sleeve and a great big open and verocious mind for any tips etc from more knowledgable people than me. Just say when and I will be there, so to speak Hugs, Christine JOhannesburg

What a neat idea....count me in! I can help with crochet and FSL and I would love to attend all the classes...my bags are packed.

My hypothettically answer would definitive be YES ! This would be super to all of us ! I think you call can teach me lots of tricks in sewing, I could tell you all about computers ( how to backup, solvevsome computers questions,....)
And for those who can not come ( maybe 'cos they are ill or it is too far) we could set us a sort of virtual computer chart room.
...its would be soooo nice....
