dear friends, my first fsl border is done, but how do I join it to the fabric without messing up?

Advice welcome, quilting is not sewing 8-)
TIA for looking.

Oh design from stitchdelight a while back

I am no expert on this however I think that you zig zag FSL down onto a finished edge. looks beautiful!

It's beautiful. I think I would try to straight stitch on both sided of the ladder stitch area. Directly on the stitching .

Treat it as you would bobbin lace. There is a specific stitch, either a three or four-sided stitch to attach the lace to a larger piece of fabric which is then trimmed and overedged if necessary. A four-sided stitch would be best for this lace, I think. Look up a 'How to' Bobbin lace site for full instructions. Hope this helps, Jan
