For those people not keen to embroider directly on TP, I have made this TP 'cuff' out of oddments from my sewing bag. It wraps around the Toilet roll. I have fixed the back with a decorative hatpin, but velcro could be used if preferred, making it easily removed & reused. I have added lavender sprigs to the Boy on the Toilet - this is a Janome design which was in the machine storage files when bought.

Jean, I like this - makes more sense to me - then the TP can actually be used. I love it. And the addition of the lavender put a special touch to it, along with the lace trim. How 'CUTE'. *4U

You can also hide any coloured toilet roll inside there, & make cuffs to match in with any decor. I've made the excuses, now I'll say that I found it much easier than embroidering directly on to TP :-) :-)
by shirlener88 12 May 2008
I like this idea and really believe that once the TP were used - embroidery would be flushed down the toilet - so to speak - this way - this cuff can be used over and over and everyone will always think it is bad new. Unless they have seen it alreay, hehehe!

What a cute design....I love it. I just did an outhouse on a roll of TP for a shower gift for my daughter-in-law and she is now convinced I'am crazy.....Lorie

Maybe Lorie, but do tell your daughter what she is missing by not joining the crazy club. Did you see the 'Dunny' designs at Secrets of Embroidery?

oh this is a fantastic idea! thank you so much elenu, I haven't yet tried embroidering on tp since here it seems all brands have something embossed or printed on the paper grrrrrrrr but now I can do this and actually hide the embossed/printed stuff on the extra rolls in the bathroom. I really love this idea, hugs and a big bunch of flowers from hot sunny Germany ************

Thank you Anna25775, Yes, you can hide them all under this! Our TV Weatherman has just said that for the first 10 days of May our temperatures have been the highest ever - maybe Germany too.
