Went to the doctor today to have the pin turned and "backed out" some on one of my toes. Wasn't as painful as anticipated. They removed some stitches that hadn't dissolved, took x-rays, gave me a large boot to wear and strapped 3 of my toes. Bad news is instead of the pin staying in another 2 wks it will be another 4 wks. The doctor had done 17 procedures in the foot so it is still quite sore but healing very well. Thank you all for your well wishes. God is good!

We known your aggravation on getting that pin out. Our daughter went for her's to be out and only had to have it in 2 extra weeks. She went knowing that might happen so wasn't too disappointed. It was a happy day when she did get them out. Wishing you the best and soon this ordeal will be all over for you.

Good new bad new. Take it day by day. 4 weeks will go fast. I only have 1 1/2 weeks left of my 4 weeks. Big hugs DeVon

Oh Ramona, I don't know how you are being so patient! It just sounds like misery to me, and yet you keep being the optimist! Do you think you'll ever wear sandals? He he! You are going to have quite the bionic foot when you get finished! I hope it all heals well and you get the results you need. It really makes me appreciate these big ugly wide feet I have that work just fine. Love and hugs,
Jan

My niece broke her foot and had pin put in and it popped out of line recently and they had to fix it. No fun. She has young children and in 2 weeks she was up and about to take care of them. Hope you feel better soon
Thank you Jan. You are too funny. I will certainly appreciate being back up and walking. Yes, I hope to be in sandals before the summer is out. Tennis shoes most of the time. I'm trying hard to try to wear the boot and put some pressure on the foot.
Bubblebee, I can't imagine breaking my foot. I hope the screws stay in place in mine. I'm so glad she was able to recover that quick. I guess the children were a big incentive. lol

I had a lot of foot operations on my left foot and still have a very large keytype of steel in my foot. Cannot wear closed shoes and fancy shoes is out of the question. But I still walk OK, so I am grateful for that. Please don't rush your healing process. Lift the foot sometimes to relieve the blood pressure and reduce swelling. Hope you recover soon.****

Oh my goodness. I don't think I can do this again. I had surgery on my right big toe 2 yrs ago. I guess I'm lucky in once sense that my foot ended up messing up more before surgery. Maybe this way everything is taken care of with this surgery. 17 procedures is enough. Yes, I still use a pillow for the blood pressure and swelling. It's been almost 5 wks since surgery and I'm starting today putting my foot in the boot and trying to walk some. I'd just like to wear low healed shoes for church.
Thank you for your well wishes and I'm so glad you're surgery went well. Gives me hope.
