My new single needle machine was delivered today. This is my first project with it.
It's going to take time getting used to a single needle machine from a 15 needle machine. I think the biggest thing for me is having to change the threads all the time. I think I will like it for doing things like lace and small projects, But I will never give up the "Big Dog".

I have enough trouble working with 1 needle I can not imagine fighting 15.

Well I am sure we were all wondering how you would manage a single needle since you started out the way we all dream of ending up (multineedle). Your first project is a winner.

Congratulations on your new purchase. Nice tissue holder, and good choice for a 1st small project.
That would certainly be a sort of culture shock, to go from 15 needles to using a single needle. So, now you truly understand how some large, complex projects can be a such a labor of love for the home sewist who only has a single needle machine.
It really amazes me to see the beautiful works posted on this site that I know had to take a lot of time and effort, no matter what type of embroidery machine people are using. My hat goes off to all of the creative folks here, and thank you all for sharing your talents & photos with us.

I can't imagine a 15 needle, one is all I can handle. Where in MN. are you located?

Hmmm I am interested . Please tell us about your Big Dog. how did it work that you did not have to keep rethreading? I know they have multi thread holdrers, but it did you do an entire design without you rethreading. please tell us.

The machine has 15 needles each with their own colour. So the machines sews happily on, one colour after another. Only when you have more than 15 colours or have the wrong colours on the machine do you have to rethread. I have a 4 needle one, which is fine for projects with up to four colours, I d love to have a big one like that, but can't justify the investment.

Have fun with your new machine. You will find it very different from such a large machine. Most people want a larger frame, maybe you are setting a new trend
