I see I'm not the only one with this blazing desire to know... see the link below where I asked a similar question. On that posting, I added the link that will take you the Janome web site's marketing videos for the machine, but the homepage for it is just a click away.
I couldn't find anything that remotely looked like it was going to give a price quote on the machine... generally, that's not a good sign. What I did find was a quote on a similar machine that was way out of my price range.
The machine comes with not one, not two, but four hoops and the largest one is gloriously huge. (sigh)

Can't answer on the MC12000, as I have a MC11000 SE and would NOT change it, as I am perfectly happy with the machine I have. What I LOVE about the MC11000 is that there is no separate embroidery carriage to find a home for. An arm swings out from the back of the machine and that is the carriage. I often need to switch between sewing and embroidery to that works so well. Just a small leaver on the side of the machine (having removed the hoop of course) and the arm opens (or closes). I used to have a machine with an embroidery carriage but would not wish to go there again. Just to finish my MC11000 is the smoothest running machine I have every owned. And no I have no connection with Janome I'm just totally biased! ;)

I also have an 11000, and am very happy with it .I went to visit a friend last weekend who had just bought the 12000 and she said is soooooo heavy she will not be able to take it to class. She has not had a chance to give it as good try ou yet.
If you are thinking of getting an 11000, you should not leave it too long , because they are selling out pretty quick.
